Getting a driver marked as bad for Windows 8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have identified a driver (not my company) which causes blue-screen-of-death crashes in Windows 8.

It was released under Windows XP and harmlessly fails under Windows 7 and Vista.  Under Windows 8 it causes a BSOD.  It is a microsoft-certified driver that is automatically downloaded from windows update and applied to devices matching its USB VID/PID.  My company has a VID/PID conflict with this hardware which is being resolved but a BSOD should be prevented.

Is there a way to get microsoft to mark a driver as not safe for Windows 8.  I can provide testing proof of its instability.
