Bing Geocode REST service throws new error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am using Bing REST Services and code sample placed over Bing Maps Rest service, I get following error while calling the Uri using GetResponse() method.

    Error: 'Exception error during a WebClient request'

    code as below

    private void GetResponse(Uri uri, Action<Response> callback)
            {
                WebClient wc = null;
                string functionName = "GetResponse ";

                try
                {
                    if (callback != null)
                    {
                        wc = new MyWebClient();
                        using (var s = wc.OpenRead(uri))
                        {
                            var ser = new DataContractJsonSerializer(typeof(Response));
                            callback(ser.ReadObject(s) as Response);
                        }

                    }
                }
                catch (Exception ex)
                {
                     throw new Exception(functionName + ex.Message);
                }
                finally
                {
                    wc.Dispose();
                }
            }

    This code used to work earlier but for some reason, this error is coming now with every single request I sent for geocode.

    I have used exactly the same sample code for sending the geocode request and fetching response.

    Any help over this would be appreciated, as its on high priority

    Thanks

  • Hi Vikas,

    Please open a Support Incident with the Bing Maps Enterprise Support team so they can work this issue with you.  These forums are for assistance and not really build for turn around on high priority issues.  Please go to Microsoft.com/Maps, choose the Support Tab then Bing Maps Enterprise Customer Support.  At that point you can provide the full details of your environment and the actual call details and error code you are receiving.

    Sincerely,

    IoTGirl
