  • hi,
yes, you can.. SQL Server 2008 will install some shared components that will overwrite SQL Server 2000 related ones (sql-dmo, ...), but you can...

  • Thanks Andrea!

So I should install SQL Server 2000 first before installing SQL Server 2008?  Or does it not matter which of them I install first?

  • hi,
as SQL Server 2000 has been release prior to SQL Server 2008 [ :) ], it can not be aware of it' "requirements".. on the contrary, SQL Server 2008 is aware of previous releases requirements..
so I'd suggest to install SQL Server 2000 and then SQL Server 2008..
