Using EF Code First, How do you have EF create a SQL Server CE database file RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've watched the video tutorials, and searched everywhere I can think of, and can't find how to connect my EF context to a SQL Server CE database file.

    • I'm using VS2010 Ultimate on Windows 7, and used Nuget to attached the latest version of EF to my project.
    • The project is a WPF project.
    • I created my context class that derives from DbContext, and added DbSets for the POCO classes I want to store in the generated database.
    • But then what? How do I create the .edmx file and connect it to SQL Server CE database? or create one? If I were creating the database from the model, I'd right click on the designer background. But using code-first, I don't know what to do.

    Any help would be appreciated
