BSOD on virtual disk RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I'm developing a software to mount a image file as virtual partition. This software include a driver to mount, unmount, control read/write on virtual partition.

We have blue screen on window 8 when user open a file in virtual partition, the user uses this software to unmount partition. And when user save file, it will cause BSOD because he file doesn't exist anymore. This issue just happens on window 8/8.1, it doesn't happen on window 7.

Please help me to find out which thing i must do before unmount partition to prevent this issue.

    Thanks,

  • There is no way to debug a BSOD without a !analyze -v from Windbg on the crash dump.  Post that if you want help.
