Configuring SharePoint 2010 to allow access for external users RRS feed

    I have just installed SharePoint 2010 on a Windows 2008 R2 server.  It works fine from the LAN but I cannot access it from the Web.  I have my router configured to forward all port 80 traffic to the virtual server so the problem is not there.  When I try to connect via the IP address or FQN that points to the same IP, I get a "Cannot Display the Page" error.

    I have done this before and it worked fine but I'm missing something in the setup with Windows 2008 to allow external access. 

    Appreciate any help.

    have you configured your IIS properly maybe that is causing the issue ?
