BizTalk 2010 with AX 2009 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are currently in the process of implementing AX 2009. For interfacing with our partners, we want to use BizTalk. Will the AX Adapter work in BizTalk 2010?

The reason why I want to use BizTalk 2010 is that we use SharePoint 2010, SQL 2008 R2 and Visual Studio 2010. We also want to use FTPs. All these are not supported in BizTalk 2009.

    Thanks in advance,

    Geert

  • Currently BIZTALK 2010 is not supported as it has not been tested with AX 2009.

It appears that they are in the process of testing so, if I get any additional details.  I will post here.

  • Thank you for your question. I wanted to let you know that it got to an incorrect group.  So it might take a couple more days to get you an answer.

    I am working on it.

  • Hi,

You don't need the AX adapter to communicate with the Dynamics AX AIF layer. You only need the correct .XSD schema for the AIF message you want to send to Dynamics AX and a schema for the AIF envelope. You can send the envelope message to an Dynamics AX endpoint like a message queue or a webservice.

  • Hi Imelda,

Are there any updates on this matter? We are in the proces of migrating from BizTalk 2006R2 to 2010 and we are using the Dynamics AX 2009 adapter to communicate with the AIF framework.

  • Hi Geert,

I created a simple POC and the AX 2009 adapter also worked without any problems on BizTalk 2010.

    Best regards
