Is it best practice to purge the file after replace azure RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an azure blob storage, and cache is set 7-day for all blobs.
However when I replace the existing blob with a new one,(with the same name), I am able to download the old file by specified url and I cannot download the new file.
I researched and found that I can purge the endpoint specifiying the path, so I could download the new file.
But I don't know is it best practice(maybe it is heavy operation), or is there more proper solution to this situation?
    thanks in advance

  • Hi Karen,

Thanks for the post, when using the CDN and replacing old files you have to purge the cached files to reflect the new files (To allow the most recent file to be downloaded vs the previous file). so the purge in this case is the correct course of action.
