multilayer application C# (UIL, BL, DL) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello guys,

I have read in few places that it is a good idea to split an application logic do different layers because of complexity and extensibility.

I write quite large Hotel management system in C# 3.0 with LINQ.

It is still in early stage, so I have a chance to change its architecture to multilayer if needed.

So far I stock to keep all data layer, a presentation layer and a business layer within a presentation layer. It started already to cause problems with extensibility and complexity.

As I said, I've read about those layers (in this case: UI Layer, Business Layer and Data Layer) but I don't know how to apply them into my app. I've heard that it's a really good practice to follow multi-layer architecture.

I am dying to see a simple example of using those layers in real life example to let me understand how practicaly apply this kind of architecture to my app.

    Kind regards

    Mariusz
