How to make money using the store app RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know we can make money by using the in app purchase, but I am not good at developing, if there is any way to make money in the app instead of using in app purchase. Or the detailed step about how to use the in app purchase

Besides in app purchase(which is now actually called “add-on” in Dashboard),  you could also monetize your app with ads.

You could choose to display banner ads or video ads using the Microsoft advertising libraries. And you could track your app ad performance in real time by following Advertising performance report in the Windows Dev Center dashboard.

More details, you might refer to Display ads in your app and Monetize with ads.

    • First, you’re supposed to enable in-app purchase (IAP) in your code.
    • You could use the API provided by Windows SDK to add in-app product in your app to monetize your app and add new functionality and then import the namespaces (Windows.Services.Store or Windows.ApplicationModel.Store).
    • Choose the type of IAP (Durable, Developer-managed consumable or Store-managed consumable)
    • Before generating package, you should test it

You could refer to the In-app purchases and trials on MSDN and a Sample demonstrating using Windows.ApplicationModel.Store namespace.

Please note that in-app purchase package is separated from your app package, about uploading in-app purchase package, please refer to Add-on submissions.
