How to encrypt the WPA2 preshared keys/passwords into hexa decimal format. RRS feed

  • Question

  • - In Win-7 I am creating C++ application to store the WPA2-PSK profile information into xml.
      Such as if user enters the SSID, authentication, encryption & password, my application will
      fetch the details given by user and update it in xml.

    - XML format:

                    <security>
                            <authEncryption>
                                    <authentication>WPA2PSK</authentication>
                                    <encryption>AES</encryption>
                                    <useOneX>false</useOneX>
                            </authEncryption>
                            <sharedKey>
                                    <keyType>passPhrase</keyType>
                                    <protected>true</protected>
                                    <keyMaterial>01000000D08C9DDF0115D111..........</keyMaterial>
                            </sharedKey>
                    </security>

    - In above xml the encrypted password (keyMaterial) is represented by a hex string.

    - Can someone tell me the C++ api to encrypt the passwords in hexadecimal format.
