Exchange Server 2010 CAS Array RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

So this may seem like a silly post, but worth a shot as im not 100% with Exchange as of yet.

So, my company currently has Hardware load balances in place for our 2010 Exchange environment. As it stands they and not fit for purpose. they have asked as an interim fix to implement WNLB as a CAS Array.

Now my question would be, for the existing DNS entries that point to the Hardware load balances is it just a simple case of changing the DNS record's IP address to the WNLB IP address?

    OR

Create a brand new set from scratch? i.e. New DNS entries, New IP address, etc...

Thanks for the help in advance

    Ben

  • You are planning to remove HNLB from you infrastructure, so assign that HNLB IP address to WNLB

In that case, what ever the requests sent earlier to HNLB will be routed to WNLB
