How to call a wfc service from a asp.net web service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good afternoon, I have an asp.net web service that calls a wcf- (tcp) service hosted in a windows application. If the wfc service is on the same machine it works correctly. If the wcf service is on a different machine, the result is:
The socket connection was aborted. The cause may be a message processing error, the receiving time-out on the remote host was exceeded, or an underlying network resource problem. The local socket timeout was '00: 00: 59.9060000 '.
    Someone knows the solution,
    Thank you.

  • You have not given enough info about the exception thrown, like stack trace and possible inner exception message.

Maybe a firewall is blocking ports.

  • Hello Carlosg32,

This could be a lot of things but the first thing I would check is if the client has connectivity to the server.  You might find that a port needs to be opened.

In the exception, you might have more information in an inner exception.
