hello, I have install visual studio ultimate 2012, and now I want install sql server

I install sql server 2012, put it's no t work will, I got message tell me that I should upgrade my sql to the last version

so what sql server I shall install?

I have the exact same setup.  What did you click that made that message appear?  Visual Studio would not make such a complaint, and neither would SQL Server.  What is the exact error message?

SQL Server and SQL Server Data Tools are two different things, and yes, the Data Tools have to be compatible with the version of the Server you have.  Download the SQL Data Tools for your version of SQL Server.   (Did you try clicking on the "learn more" and "Get latest..." links?)

Look for the SQL menu in Visual Studio and select Check for Updates.
