web browser control in modal windows RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a web browser control in a modal window.

I've noticed that in order to be able to scroll the browser, the containing form cannot be modal.

Is there a way to have access to the browser object without changing form window to modelles?

    Thanks!

  • OK... Apparently, if the class the form is based on has the scrollbars set to "both", I cant scroll the browser.

I have no idea why is that, but setting the scrollbars to 0 in my class solved the problem.

    Thanks for your input!

  • Hi Aleniko2,

I justed tested your description with my browser form (by default modeless) in modal mode and I didn't notice any difference.

For simplicity I simply called this forum's webpage and could scroll up and down without any problems.

There must be something else within your app that interferes. Maybe, the calling form reclaims focus or some other code that only gets interrupted or stopped from executing by modal form mode.

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place.
Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible,
you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it. 010101100100011001010000011110000101001001101111011000110110101101110011
