I am currently using Holmok free Image Handler, which can be found at http://www.holmok.com/default.aspx?id=20 I need something in which i can create thumbnails and resize images on the fly to the appropriate size. However, Holmok is a bit too slow for me, the images load on a page one at a time....this is probably because he doesnt implement any caching. Basically I need to know if there are any HttpHandlers that handle thumbnail and resizing images dynamically, and extremely fast and reliable. Any suggestions?

I found an article by Morgan Skinner titled "Serving Images from .NET Assemblies" on MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dndotnet/html/servingimages.asp?frame=true. It's in .NET Development->.NET Development (General) ->Technical Articles -> .NET General. I don't know if it's that practical to to it his way, but I found the approach of wiring an HttpHandler pretty interesting. Personally, I would never pass an assembly name in query string even if it's encrypted. Milan

I've written such a thing for my last MSDN article. You can find it via my website on Bart De Smet .NET. Enjoy it!
