  • User1666015317 posted

When I try to install the toolkit, it fails to install and when I read the log this is all it tells me:

"DownloadManager Warning: 0 : Dependency failed for product 'Search Engine Optimization Toolkit'. Skipping install
DownloadManager Information: 0 : Product Search Engine Optimization Toolkit had a dependency fail. Increasing install product to 6"

It does not give me any other information onto why this is happening. Any ideas?
I am running windows vista business.

Could you open Windows Explorer and navigate to:

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Web Platform Installer\logs\

You should have two subfolders, could you see if you can find more information in the install folder where you should have subfolders based on the execution time.

It seems like it is failing to install IIS, could you see if it was successfull? Try running InetMgr.exe and see if that launches IIS 7 Manager. If it does you should be able to just install the MSI's directly:

    x86: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9695985

    x64: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9695986

If its not you could try installing IIS manually and see if it reports a more detailed error:
