ReportViewer (Microsoft SQL Server Reporting) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I created some report (.rdlc) with DataTable from VS DataSet and application with ReportViewer (WinForms).
    I create a connection and fill my application DataSet using my query but ReportViewer control display "A data source instance has not been supplied for the data source "My_My" message.
    Source code:
    reportDataSource = new Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportDataSource();
    this.reportDataSource.Value = moDS.Tables[0];
    reportViewer1.LocalReport.ReportPath = ReportFile;
    reportViewer1.LocalReport.DataSources.Add(reportDataSource);
    reportViewer1.RefreshReport();
    Well ... I took "DataSetName" from my report and set up reportDataSource.Name = "My_My";
    It works. Well ... How can I do it? How client can create report himself and I can display it in my ReportViewer?
    (How can I fill selected report?)
