how to get the P2P(wifi direct) disconnection event on windows8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

As we know, Windows 8 support wifi direct now by using some wifi direct releated APIs in wlanapi. And we have successfully connected to some other wifi direct devices using these APIs. But here i met an issue, how do we detect the disconnection of p2p? I didn't find any discriptions of APIs or Events at MSDN. But I did see some notification events in wlannotifiactioncallback, but it seems they are not public to developer.

  • Hi Roger,

Can you please share the Wi-Fi direct sample code to connect devices? I have been struggling a lot without any success.

It will be really helpful to get started. You can send me email on win64metro@hotmail.com.

  • Hi ,

If you works in Metro, you can download the sample at: http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/Proximity-Sample-88129731

It can work without any modification after building.(only support win8 device to another win8 device)

If you works in desktop, sorry that i can't provide code, but you can refer to the APIs: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd439487%28v=vs.85%29.aspx, In this mode, you need firstly pair the p2p device by using windows "add device" in "control panel->devices and printers"
