Some Small Basic Programs falsely triggering Identity module in AVG RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Some of the Small Basic programs I have imported and some that I have written Myself are giving False Positive hits on the AVG antivirus Identity protection module, I normally do not Activate this module  but when i did I was getting false positives. I am not sure why this is happening, perhaps it has something to do with the built in Fliker access or other internet access built into smallbasic. Perhaps one of the developers could Contact AVG and let them know.

  • You can theoretically do very harmful things using Small Basic's library. Your applications don't have any ClickOnce protection.

  • Something similar just happened to us tonight. My son TYPED IN a program from the intro to Small Basic PDF file and while running it apparently AVG didn't like it and removed sb.exe from the box. All attempts to reinstall Small Basic so far have failed. Great.
