Error in Create Python apps using SQL Server on a Mac

  • While doing the steps outlned here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sql-server/developer-get-started/python-mac

    bash-3.2$ brew install sqsh
    Error: No available formula with the name "sqsh"
    ==> Searching for similarly named formulae...
    Error: No similarly named formulae found.
    ==> Searching taps...
    Error: No formulae found in taps.

    I also have anaconda with python 3.5 installed

  • Hi Artie,

    Based on the error message Error: 'No available formula with the name "sqsh"', this issue is caused by that the Terminal application cannot find the resource for sqsh. Please use the following command to install it:

    ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null
    
    brew install sqsh
