Setting Track Changes ON/OFF for content controls RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    We have a VSTO addin where users can add content within content controls.It is a common user scenario to have Track Changes ON during the document editing process.We want to turn the Track Changes OFF when user clicks inside/outside the content control.Any content Addition/Deletion within the control needs to be tracked.When we added code to turn the Track Changes OFF within the events,it went into infinite loop.Is there any other setting/way to achieve this?

  • Is this the command you used to turn Tracked Changes off?

    wApp.ActiveDocument.TrackRevisions = False

    I don't know a reason why it would cause an infinite loop.  Can you show us the code?

  • Hello,

    Try using a timer, the one that runs in the same thread, see System.Windows.Forms.Timer.
