Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    Environment: Windows 7 x64 Pro

I have a project, that I'm porting from 32-bit VS2005 to 64-bit VS2010. I have downloaded and installed the CR for VS 2010 from SAP website.

However all references in my project seem to be to the 32-bit CR DLL's, so my project fails when trying to view a report.

How should I solve this ?

  • Hi Petri,

The VS 2010 IDE is 32 bit but if you set the Compile options to x64 it will use the 64bit dll's. When you installed CR for VS 2010 you may have noticed or it asked if you wanted to install the 64 bit runtime. You should have click on Yes.

The way it works is the Assembly names are the same in both 32 and 64 bit, depending on your platform you select in the properties depends if 32 or 64 runtime is used.

So when you build your deployment project use the 64 bit runtime.

See these Blogs for known issues and configuration settings etc.

    Thank you
