What's the limitation for Azure Storage table query execute? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there any limitation for the maximum number of Azure Storage Table query? I just use _cloudTable.ExecuteQuery from .NET client API, and I found I only get 561600 data (about 2GB) from the table, I am quite sure more than this number rows exist in the table.

So, I guess there is limitations for the rows number or for the whole result size, anyone can tell me if I am wrong, the official documentation is better.

    Thanks a lot.

Answers

  • hi,

Maximum number of rows retrieved per query:1,000

No more than 1,000 rows (entities) are returned in response to a single request. If a query has more results than this amount, a continuation token is returned to allow the query to continue with additional requests.

    Maximum row size:1 MB

With no more than 255 properties, including three required properties: PartitionKey, RowKey, Timestamp.

    Please see this reference:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj553018.aspx

And for the azure table storage performance issue, I recommend you could refer to this sampe:

    Hope this helps.
