MSDN and BizSpark RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
I just got a MSDN subscription with bizspark about a month ago and I read online that all MSDN subscriptions can not be used in a production enviroment. Is this true? I thought that the point of BizSpark was to give startups the software that they need. I would appreciate it if I could get a quote from the TOS saying one way or the other.
    Thank you,
    Cris Weber

  • Thanks for your question Cris.  Sorry about the delay in response.  I tried to reach someone twitter to help answer your question, but didn't get a response.  its true that an MSDN Subscription itself is not licensed to be used in a production environment, but a BizSpark Subscription is a different licensing scenario than an MSDN Subscription.

In Appendix A of the BizSpark Startup Program Guide PDF file, which is linked from here: http://www.microsoftstartupzone.com/BizSpark/Pages/What_Do_I_Get.aspx, you can see that there is some software included which is licensed for Production and Hosting environments.
