Calling a userform from a listbox selection RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all

I have a workbook which on the double click of a cell calls a userform and populates it from the repsective underlying data.

Is it possible to allow the user to select a record in the list box, click a button on the form to say "Expand" selection, and then call another userform with a list box populated with the granulated data from a different sheet?

Convoluted I know but can it be done?

    Cheers

  • Hi Sean,

Generally not too difficult to achieve but need to know how the data is arranged to match the granulated data to the initial higher level selection in the first listbox.

Can you post a copy of the workbook on Skydrive (or similar) and then give an example of the selection in the first listbox and then what you would want to see in the listbox populated with the granuated data? If the workbook contains sensitive data then a copy with the sensitive data either blanked out or overwritten with A, B, C, D etc.

To upload a workbook to Skydrive.
1.Best to zip the file before uploading.
2.Below is a link for how to post on Skydrive.
3.There is a link in step 1 to open Skydrive.
4.Use the same login name and password that you use for this site.
5.After uploading the file, Right click it and select sharing.
6.Don't fill in the form; select "Get a link" in the left column.
7.Click button Create for others to read.
8.Copy the returned link (which is highlighted) and paste into your answer on this forum.
