Changing database connections with Linq to SQL RRS feed

  • Question

  • In VS 2008 I am using Server Explorer to drop tables from a local SQL Server connection onto the Linq to SQL designer. If I want to change the database (for example from local to server) in the project I am finding I have to redo the Linq To SQL. Is there an easier way to switch databases?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

if you go the O/R designer and select the properties for the DataContext, you can expand the property Connection. Click the subproperty Connection String will pop the connection wizard.
