NVMe ScsiCompliance - Log Sense Command RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using the HCK Scsi compliance test verify our NVMe device driver's handling of the Scsi Log Sense command.

One part of the test ensure the "device returns error for all values of PC other than 01b."
    Another part ensures the "Temperature log page is compliant". The associated cdb is:  4d 00 4d 00 00 00 00 10 00 00

On an operational system, issuing the following powershell command
    "Get-PhysicalDisk -FriendlyName PhysicalDisk0 | Get-StorageReliabilityCounter"
causes Windows to send this Scsi Log Sense command: 4d 00 0d 00 00 00 00 10 00 00 - the PC value is 00b. In accordance with the HCK testing specified above, our driver rejects this command.

Unless I'm missing something, this seems to be an issue with either the HCK or Windows. Can anyone provide some insight?
