Windows CE 6.0 R3 with 15 inch touch screen - calibration not work RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm trying to recalibrate the touch screen by doing the following:

start -> settings -> control panel -> Stylus -> Calibration Tab -> "Recalibrate" button

When calibration dialog opens, I try to press on the center of the target but the dialog not responding. (the touch works - I can see the mouse pointer following my finger, but the dialog not respond to prolong push on the target). In this situation the only thing left to do is to restart the device.

    What could be wrong ?

my device is based on  DM37xx CPU

    Thanks.

  • The fact that the calibration screen shows indicates that you have a touch driver running, but is it the driver for the touch controller that you are using?

Some touch controller drivers, like TSharc, use a driver that isn't really a Windows CE Touch driver - but instead simulate a mouse.   So they do not work with the Windows CE Touch Calibration screen.   These require a custom calibration utility.

The results that you are seeing are the same that you would get from using a mouse to calibrate the touch.
