Microsoft Office Spreadsheet 11.00

Question

I am trying to confirm if Microsoft Office Spreadsheet 11.00 works in the most recent copies of Access?  Microsoft Office Spreadsheet 11.00 was part of Office-2003-Office-Web-Components which was discontinued.  If it no longer works what work around options are available?

Never heard of it. Can you use Excel instead? Access can link to Excel workbooks.
