"Open page" at the top left (where one can choose from different browsers) doesn't work for me. Opening the page by Ctrl+F12 work fine, thus it seems that the webserver is running correctly.

    Hi,

The page being shown is simply index.html in the root directory: http://localhost:2294/index.html, but not the page currently being active in the editor.

This behavior is by design, if you wan to browse some specific page, you can use Ctrl + F12 or right click the page and select Show File in Explorer.

    Best Regards,

    Jean

Is there any error message about this?

Web Matrix will run the page in your default browser, make sure you have set the default browser.

A new page is opened in the browser showing the home page of WinHTTRACK. Address bar shows

    http://localhost:2294/

    i. e. the root directory without any page address. Default browser is set: Page opens fine when activating Ctrl+F12.

I mean the button at the top left where one can choose between different browsers. In german it's labelled "Ausfuehren" which translates "Execute":

Edit: The page being shown is simply index.html in the root directory: http://localhost:2294/index.html, but not the page currently being active in the editor.
