Exit Button Does Not Appear With Compact Veritcal Navigation Bar In BirdsEyeView RRS feed

  • Question

  • When you have the NavigationBarOrientation set to vertical and the mode set to compact, when you go to BirdsEye view you don't get see the navigation option to closeout of the view so you get stuck.  Example,

    Go to http://www.bing.com/api/maps/sdkrelease/mapcontrol/isdk#compactNavigationBar+JS

    Then run the javascript below and change to BirdsEyeView

    var navigationBarMode = Microsoft.Maps.NavigationBarMode;
    var map = new Microsoft.Maps.Map(document.getElementById('myMap'), {
        credentials: 'Your Bing Maps Key',
        navigationBarMode: navigationBarMode.compact,
        navigationBarOrientation: Microsoft.Maps.NavigationBarOrientation.vertical
    });

    You will see all the buttons in the navigation bar except the exit/close button.

  • I'm able to reproduce this issue. Looks like the rotation controls are also out of sorts. I've logged this as a bug for the team to investigate. Thanks for reporting.
