VSIP 2010: How do I read/write properties to a .user file? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a VSPkg for VS 2010, and am trying to figure out a way to read and write Properties to the .vcxproj.user file generated for C++ projects.

I figured out how to write properties to a new .props file and add that to the project references, but that adds another file that has to be checked into source control.

I figure if I can make use of the .user file, VS automatically creates that file for me and I don't have to worry if someone has that file on their machine or not.

    Thanks,

    Jason
