Repeat Group Header: Header not repeating when detail row spans multiple pages (SSRS 2005)

Question
-
I have an SSRS 2005 report that contains a table with a header group that needs to be displayed on every page. I have checked the "Repeat group header" option for the group. It works fine, except when the data in the detail row is so long that it spans multiple pages.
Does anyone know if this is a limitation of SSRS 2005, and/or if there is a work-around?Monday, June 15, 2009 9:04 PM

Hi,
If the option “Repeat group header” of one detail group is checked and the attribute “RepeatOnNewPage” in its properties is set to true, the group header can be displayed on each page with its row data.
I can’t think of the scenario you observed, could you provide more details or samples if i misunderstand?Regards,

Are you referring to the column headers of the entire table, or just headers for a Details_Group? There is a "RepeatHeaderOnNewPage" property for the table, if set to true, the column headers will repeat on every single page.Monday, June 15, 2009 11:00 PM
