Pop up window "Windows Can't confirm publisher" but driver is digitally signed RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an issue with Printer Drivers recently certified by Microsoft.

I have successfully passed all of the HCK and HLK certifications for Win10, Win8/8.1, Win7 32 and 64 bit operating systems and have passed the submission review

But there is an issue with the driver installation for the all of the 32bit versions of the driver.

During the 32 bit printer driver install the “Install printer driver” screen indicates the driver is digitally signed but when you click on the "Next" button and this is the first install of the driver a pop up window is displayed informing that “Windows can’t verify the publisher of this driver software” implying the driver is not digitally signed.

Again this does not happen with the 64 bit versions only the 32 bit versions.
