ReportViewer, blank .rdlc, dataset and runtime... plz help me RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all Smile

In my little application, there are some tables which are created at runtime in the database.

There is a way with the reportviewer to generate report at runtime?

I cant design an .rdlc file, because i cant now how the user create that tables.

I can only put a blank rdlc file.

    Thank you all Smile

  • I thinkk the only way to do this is to create a generic RDLC template, and then modify it at runtime.  For instance you could create a blank template with one table, that has one column on it...and some default values.... then modify the corresponding nodes, and copy nodes as needed by reading through your dataset... I would say this is mildly complicated and the only examples anyone will point you to is over at   and well..those examples leave a lot of questions.
