Performance issues against desktop RRS feed

  • Question

  • A while ago i posted about using a reflection map/camera and the cpu cycles on my PC getting owned (see: http://social.expression.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/blend/thread/6af2e9ca-3e93-4810-ad35-c609a4788089 ) ..  someone pointed me to a hotfix which addressed the performance issue perfectly.

Now I have a login screen that utilizes a slowly rotating graphic (see:  http://www.liveddm.com/sheldon/liveEDR_login.jpg) in behind all of my text...the white faded honey-comb shape in my graphic behind the Live-EDR text...  you can see beside it the cpu cycles being utilized to the max.  This is on a pc with the hotfix enabled.  The graphic is utilizing a simple render transform rotate, set to unlimited times, and repeats once a minute.  I don't think it's a very complex animation.

Has anyone else experienced this or knows a fix?  As soon as I collapse that graphic and rebuild, cpu cycles drop down to near 0 for the login app.

    Thanks,
