C++ XAML header generator gives wrong output: <Page x:Class="xyz"...> leads to: partial ref class xyz: public Windows::UI::Xaml::Controls::UserControl

    General discussion

  • Having this in CollectionPage.xml:

    <Page x:Class="xyz"...>

    </Page>

    Generates this:

    ...

    patrial ref class CollectionPage : public Windows::UI::Xaml::Controls::UserControl, ...

    __

    It should be:

    patrial ref class CollectionPage : public Windows::UI::Xaml::Controls::Page, ...

    am i right?

    Is there a workaround?

  • Hi strentler,

    Thank you for reporting this. I can reproduce this behavior. Since this is in an autogenerated file there isn't any good place for you to implement a workaround: you could try editing the file, but your changes would get overwritten when it was regenerated.

    Can you also submit feedback using the Windows Feedback Tool from the Connect Site associated with your Windows Developer Preview program? If you’re an MSDN subscriber, the information on how to join the Connect program is included on the download page where you installed Windows Developer Preview.  There’s a link to the Connect site and an invitation code that you can click on to join using a Windows Live ID account.
