I decided to open a new post on the subject because IMHO it deserves its own post.

This scenario is for Dynamic Data with EF.

Let’s say Customer entity has some fields visible and, at the same time, some fields like PasswordHash and PasswordSalt are not visible through the use of ScaffoldColumn(false) for both of them. At this point, is it possible to use/call stored procedures for modification of the Customer entity, i.e Insert/Update/Delete operations?

The mentioned above post provides details – by Rick - how to assign values for the invisible fields of the entity. Now back to stored procedures.

    There are 3 issues here:

    1.      How to map PasswordHash and PasswordSalt values plus the rest of the Customer entity attributes to the stored procedures parameters?

    2.      How to call stored procedures?

    3.      How to make edmx designer in Visual Studio happy with the Stored Procedure Mapping in the Mapping Details window pain?
