Downloading files from SharePoint document library. RRS feed

  • I am using the SharePoint as a document storage to upload and download the documents in the SharePoint 
    using copy. asmx services we are uploading and downloading the documents from .net to SharePoint vice versa.
    For downloading i am taking the URl of the uploading file in the SQl and downloading the files via url.
    this is the correct way ??
    there are more then 5000 thousand documents in the SharePoint 2010 document library.

  • and it is not necessary to query content database in Sql server for getting documents urls. You may also get list of all documents with their urls using lists.asmx like shown in the mentioned post:

    XmlNode ndListItems = objLists.GetListItems("Shared Documents", null, ndQuery, ndViewFields, null, ndQueryOptions, null);
