  • Go into the server properties and change the value of the 'Log \ FlightRecorder \ Enabled' to false.

  • Could you be a little more specific? I can't find this particualr setting.

  • In SSMS, right click on the server and select Properties.

    A new window will open and it will be in the list.

  • I must be blind because I don't see the option anywhere. Sorry, I'm just learning this SQL admin stuff.  I looked at both our SQL 2005 box and SQL 2008 R2 and non have the option visible.

  • Ensure you are the server admin, in SSMS, right click the SSAS sever, click properties:

  • Just to help anyone who comes accross this and are totally confused like I was:

    You have to connect to the "Analysis Services..." not the Database Engine...

  • Start the SQL Server Management Studio (Run as Administrator)

    Connect the Analysis Services Instance

    Right Click on the Server/Instance Name

    Choose the Property -> General Tab

    You will notice Property 'Log \ FlightRecorder \ Enabled'

    SSAS-Flight Recorder
