    Hello ,

Issues can be many it is difficult to Enlist any particular one.I would recommend you to use SSMA for migration from Oracle to SQL server. SSMA can be downloaded from below

I particularly faced no issues when using SSMA to migrate to SQL server. It also depends on level of experience

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=28766

Below link has details how to install it.

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh313179.aspx

SSMA does not guarantee to migrate all your queries and SP to SQL. One which fails needs to be done manually.

    Second method can be

Script out tables from Oracle and After changing datatypes run the query in SQL server to create tables. Then using SSIS migrate data

Below links have SQL equivalent of Oracle data types

    http://docs.oracle.com/html/A96552_01/apa.htm

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms151817.aspx

  • You mentioned SSIS, So it makes me to believe this question is regarding extracting data from Oracle and get it to SQL rather than migrating a Oracle System to SQL server. and If I am guessing correct, was SSMA helpful for you?
