HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable

Question

Hi

I'm running Windows Server 2008 in a virtual PC to have access for my Sharepoint Server.

This worked perfectly for the past weeks.

Since 2 days I get the error HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable when I try to access a sharepoint site from any computer (which always worked before).

As I'm running it with VPC, I've tried older configurations (backups) but still the same.

So I suppose, there was nothing changed in Server 2008.

Still I can not figure out the HTTP Error 503.

Does somebody has any idea?
