Pause Background Audio before Windows goes into standby

  • I have a radio app, streaming music from the internet. I implemented it using an html audio element with the background-music stuff set. That is working fine.

The problem is, since my app is not notified when the computer goes into any kind of sleep, my app loses connection. When the computer is woken up again, my app starts playing the last bits it still has in it buffer from before the standby-pause and then stop.

Is there anyway I could work around this? I would really like to pause the stream before, but if that is not possible, can I restart the stream after the System is woken up again?

Would this problem still exist, if I implemented a C# or C++ player?
