MS Project file open in SharePoint RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have uploaded MS Project files in my SP Foundation librarty. But when I wan't to open it in browser I get an error:

    no apps are installed to open this type of link (ms-project). 

    How can I fix it?

  • Export project tasks works with SharePoint Foundation but you will have to export them directly from Project Pro. Project Server needs SharePoint Server enterprise.  Foundation does not work.

  • SharePoint sites has no support for MPP Files.  You can only export the project tasks to a Task List in SharePoint Site.  The functionality to work with projects directly is provided by Microsoft Project Server 2013, which is a complete Enterprise Project Management Solution.
