  • Question

  • I developed some projects in visual basic 2008 express edition on a system with windows vista. Why can't I open these projects in windows 7 with visual basic 2008 express edition. When I try to open project, it says file is damaged or corrupt.

  • Probably is your project damaged or corrupt.(or maybe are some folders protected).

    Normally you can open it.

  • Does the error message indicate that the project file is damaged? If so, create a new project and add the files from the old project into the new project. If that fails then more likely than not all the files are damaged and if so open some of the files in notepad like a code module or form and see if there are any visual issues.
