How to install self signed certificates in BTS 2010? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have installed our TP certificatess under the Computer's certificate store for 1 - Other people and 2 - Trusted Root Certificatation but outbound messages, i.e., RosettaNet 3A4 ACK or 3A4 Confirmation are getting the following error:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

    Log Name:      Application

    Source:        BizTalk Server

    Date:          5/14/2012 4:12:34 AM

    Event ID:      5754

    Task Category: BizTalk Server

    Level:         Error

    Keywords:      Classic

    User:          N/A

    Computer:      B2BAUS020Q.silabs.com

    Description:

A message sent to adapter "HTTP" on send port "MORRIHAN.Async" with URI "http://localhost/BTARNAppRNIFSendCA/RNIFSend.aspx?TPUrl=httpsThe system cannot find the path specified.aThe system cannot find the file specified.fThe system cannot find the file specified.fb2bsvr06.wtmec.comThe system cannot find the path specified.a8444The system cannot find the file specified.frnThe system cannot find the file specified.fReceiver&xRNResponseType=async" is suspended.

Error details: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

    Questions:

    1. What certificate stores should self signed certs be installed/added?

    2. What accounds should the certificates be installed under, i.e., do we need to install the Trusted Root CA for current user and for BT services user?

    3. Is there any other BizTalk configuration required to get a TP using self signed certificates up and running for double action PIPs?

Note: We are able to transact with other TPs for same PIPs without issue, so RosettaNet Configuration does not appear to be the issue.

  • We have checked the article and installed the cerificates in the Trusted Root certificate and Other people store. As our TP requires customer authentication, we have also installed done the following:

    • Obtain the public certificate from the trading partner.
    • Log on to each computer running BizTalk Server as the account used by the host instance associated with the send handler.
    • Import the certificate into the Current User \ Personal store.
    • HTTP Transport - Set the SSL client certificate thumbprint option on the Authentication tab of the HTTP Transport Properties dialog box. The HTTP Transport Properties dialog box is displayed by clicking the Configure button on the General page of the Send Port Properties dialog box.

So what happened now is we could send 3A4 confirmation to TP. But the same error still happen on ACK. Hope to get some idea...
