auto generated dataset file RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

    I am using VS 2008 and I have a problem with the auto generated dataset file.

    Data.DataColumn() {Me.columnModel_ID}, true))
                Me.columnModel_ID.AutoIncrement = true
                Me.columnModel_ID.AutoIncrementSeed = -1
                Me.columnModel_ID.AutoIncrementStep = -1
                Me.columnModel_ID.AllowDBNull = false
                Me.columnModel_ID.ReadOnly = true
                Me.columnModel_ID.Unique = true
                Me.columnModel_Description.MaxLength = 100
                Me.columnManufacturer_Name.MaxLength = 50
                Me.columnModel_Name.MaxLength = 100
            End Sub

    Every time I access or Change field information on the database, the designer always reverts the Increment seed and step to -1.  Is there a configuration file where I can change this.  This is becoming very annoying.

    Thanks

  • If you regenerate the DataSet from the database, you lose any tweaks you made to the properties.  End of story.
