How to create a new user in sharepoint while the user doesn't exist in AD

Question

Hi all:
I have to import a lot of old data into the sharepoint. in these data, I need to create a lot of user who are no longer in AD. Does anymore have any idea how to do that?

If you'll have to add users other than AD try Form based authentication in Sharepoint.

you can do one thing.


in you server go to control panel -> administrative tool -> computer managment.

in computer management expand "local  users and group"

then expand "Users" .  on the right side right click and then "New user".


enter the user name and password and select password never expires.


this will add some local user for this server.


Now go to home site of your sharepoint and in people and group add these users.

they will be available in people picker.
