Using Kinect SDK 1.0 wtih C++/CLI RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am getting started with the 1.0 SDK, and I was wondering if there is a way to use the managed API from a C++/CLI program (since it is a .NET language). I was hoping to avoid using the native C++ API as it seems more complex, and I already have some C++/CLI code and wanted to avoid interop with unmanaged code.

From my efforts it seems that this is not possible, but feel free to prove me wrong. This whole compatibility among .NET lanaguages and with unmanaged code is doing my head in.

    Thanks for your help!

  • It uses the native c++ in kinect sdk v1. But i think the kinect team has written stable code in c++ if thats your language of choice and it is built to be run and debugged from visual studio does that answer your question?
